Period Townhouse / Residential Interior Design & Installation / West London
Crafting distinctive spaces, creating a living art installation for your environment
Studio MacLean used MONOCHROME paintwork, oak chevron flooring, cherry wood & marble finishes to overhaul this London house. We designed the renovation of the West London property (which measures 4000 square-foot) & its garden studio for a family who wanted to update the interiors with timeless finishes.
The family wanted the house to have a clean, simple style that would remain TIMELESS as they intended to live in the property for many years. Studio MacLean painted the existing window frames, ceiling beams, doors & fireplace, as well as all the walls & ceilings. This was offset by a series of black finishes, including the custom-made steel doors that replaced some of the doorways & the wall & ceiling lights. We also painted the radiators and staircase black. Oak parquet covered the floor & the home has an otherwise monochrome palette.
Cherry wood cabinets with white marble tops & custom-made MARBLE sinks featured in the kitchen. Next to the kitchen, the dining room windows overlooked the garden & a long dining table with black & brown patterned chairs filled the space, while a bespoke wooden & glass cabinet slotted into the end wall.
Monochrome also featured in the five bathrooms, which included a black bathtub, CUSTOM-MADE marble shower trays & sinks, steel shower screens & doors & matt white tiling.
